Burned gold OOAK by mangakasan Burned gold OOAK by mangakasan
Meet burned gold (the owner might name her differently XD) the pretty little arabian kirin creature, she was commissioned by :iconmamalucia:
She's a one of a kind (she was sculpted from scratch and no molds were taken) which i created for the commissioner from her short written description, given this creature did not have a form yet made it a lot more fun as i had certain freedom in creating her :)
She's about 4 inch (from chest to bum), i sculpted her with sculpey brands of clay over an armature frame, she has self cast and painted eyes that has a golden/red glow in different light (her coat also shifts color because of the metallic base color she was given), she was painted with acrylics and pastels and i used tibetan lambfur for the mane/tail.

:star: commissions are currently closed but you can already reserve for one as i will reopen sculpt commissions at the end of august :) Only 3 slots available!

creature belongs to :iconmamalucia:

I have one little question. When and how do you attach things as manes, whiskers, tails and stuff? :3

Btw, this horse/kirin is a real beauty! I am SO impressed by your works! : D

i add all that at the very last, i make sure everything is baked, primed and painted first, then i put non clay things such as hair/fabric/fantasy film on last so it will not be ruined in the painting progress :)

Awesome~
Bit isn't it hard to put it on/stuff it in when everything is baked and done? (:

Oh! I hadn't thought of that. I thought it was stuffed in. Stupid.
But cool, now I much better understand it. Thanks : D
